Yashica MA mount (also known as Yashica AF mount or Kyocera\/Yashica mount) is a lens mount designed in 1987 for 35mm film autofocus cameras. It is a bayonet mount with three tabs, a focal flange distance of 45.8mm, and a clockwise lock. The mount features both mechanical communication (aperture stop-down lever and slot-drive AF screw) and electronic communication through 5 electrical contacts (10 contacts on power zoom lenses). The lens mount is incompatible with all other Yashica mounts, including the earlier manual focus Contax\/Yashica mount. Although the MA mount bears a strong visual resemblance to the Minolta A mount (both are three-tab bayonet mounts with 5 electronic contacts and slot-drive AF), they are not compatible with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mount was discontinued in the mid-1990s after only four camera bodies and approximately 20 lenses were produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yashica\/Kyocera lenses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lenses were available branded either as Yashica or as Kyocera. Aside from the branding, they are identical. In the global market, lenses were sold under the Yashica brand, while in the Japanese domestic market, the Kyocera brand was used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
