Kodak announces a film price reduction

Kodak announced a price reduction on Tri-X 400 black and white film, up to 30%.

In an Instagram reel Kodak Professional announced a price reduction of up to 30% (depending on the region) on 35mm format Tri-X 400 black and white film, for both 24- and 36-frame versions.

With the current price of 14.5€ per roll, a 30% cut would reduce that to 10.15€, and dropping to a psychological barrier of ~10€ could once again make Tri-X 400 a viable option for more price-conscious photographers. There is no time frame in the announcement reel, or any indication of what “depending on the region” means, so let’s wait and see how that price cut translates to the real world.

New Year, New Price!

We have implemented a catalog price reduction on 135 format Kodak Professional TRI-X 400 Black & White Negative Film.

Our two 135 format offerings will see up to a 30% reduction in price, depending on the region.

Our expectation is that this lower price will be passed on by retailers to photographers worldwide as inventories turn.
